Holding pattern continues

Morgan continues to be in a holding pattern as we wait for the blood cultures to come back.  He is having a tough time lying flat on his back with his leg extended but they are keeping him on pain medication so that the discomfort is minimized and he can sleep. He is not in pain per se except for some chest pain due to the breathing tube he had and 40+ years of smoking. It's more a matter of hanging in there until they can go to the next step in the game plan.
I've been asked how I am doing and I am ok. I stayed at a hotel for the last two nights (thanks Jerry and Cherie for helping with that!) which helped tremendously because I didn't have to go home in the bad traffic on I66. The only problem I am having is that I haven't been able to feed my positive addiction to running which normally helps me de-stress so I need to figure out how to work in some exercise over the next week to help me keep my sanity.
I am heading home today around lunch time to regroup and pick up Wren who is coming home for an overnight to see her dad in the morning. I also want to get Alexander in to see him. It will be a good reminder for Morgan as to why he should hang in there and keep on doing what the doctors and nurses tell him to do.
