Morgan continues to heal from the complications of the heart attack. They infused him with another unit of blood just to get his blood levels up and he is finally getting some sleep. He will need to stay at the hospital for a few more days so that they can do infusions to help heal the ulcers. He is in great spirits and asked me to send out this message to his co-workers but then asked me to post it on the blog as well so that everyone could see it:
"Dear Fellow Employees:
I am truly heartened by your various messages of support. Having time to think, I believe Mr. K. Giles is correct: Fairfax Hospital will fix me and I will return among you heart attack and ulcers no more. Small notes of get well soon resound loudly, unexpectedly, in my heart. I learned of the rule of two: days, weeks, months, years.
As Ron K. and Carey N. keep telling us, the team of each person doing their job well leads to an outcome greater than merely the sum of the parts. I am seeing this medical team do this to me. You don't always see it happen when you are doing it. As an outsider, I am seeing it here. Truly the miracle of life is here."
